I’ve always loved aesthetically pleasing things, taking photos + curating my life. less than two years ago, I found myself falling into the instagram world of content creation & collaborating with brands. I remember the first message I received was from mejuri, my favorite jewelry brand (and now longest running partnership) — I wanted to cry out of excitement. why did this amazing company want to work with me? an account with only 200 followers at the time getting an average of 50ish likes?
I am so grateful that mejuri saw something in me and believed in my content. as of today, I’ve built my platform to over 4,500 followers, started a youtube channel, done multiple instagram takeovers, been interviewed for multiple online magazines, was the first Black creator to be highlighted on function of beauty’s blog, worked at a company as a marketing coordinator which entailed social media management, copywriting, email marketing, etc., supported several seattle-based companies, attended multiple events, helped catapult small businesses and graphic designers, continued to use my voice and be outspoken on critical social issues, collaborated with the DNC to discuss voters rights & knowledge about the election, and so much more.
