A LETTER TO HIM
never did I ever expect to fall so greatly in love with you.
as I have stated many times, I have never felt such a deep connection with anyone before.
the second time you were in my presence, I knew you were different.
as shy and nervous as I was to be around you, when you talked to me, you made me feel something. I felt noticed, wanted, visible.
no other person had ever made me feel this way before. talking to you was so effortless and comfortable and pleasant.
I was so intrigued by you. jokingly, I told my best friend that I was in love with you after the third time we hung out.
little did I know, that this would become reality.
I was so shy, so nervous, so anxious to get involved with someone new, but I knew I had to.
even though things can get difficult at times, being with you was the best decision I have ever made.

it all happened so fast. I quit my horrible job, left school, fell into a deeper state of depression, couldn’t eat, lost weight unintentionally, developed anxiety, got a new job, went back to school, became a vegetarian, transferred to a new school, got another new job (+ a few more after that), went to therapy, the election happened, my anxiety worsened, somehow managed to get straight a's + on the dean's list for the past 4 quarters etc.
...and guess who was there for me throughout all of it? you.
with all the breaks, with all the fights, with all the doubt, confusion, heartbreak, and ridiculous what-if scenarios that I come up with, you have stuck with me. I want to commend and thank you endlessly.
I want nothing more than to grow with you, learn with you, support you, travel with you, laugh with you, sleep next to you, cook and dance with you, kiss you, hold you, and be with you.
you are the most kind-hearted person I have ever met. you have never mistreated me and you only want the best for me.
you are so sweet, and funny, and cute, and charming, and grateful, and genuine, and amazing.
I love you, I am in love with you, and I will love you forever no matter what.
